The latest installment of Wakefield Design Center’s To The Trade Market Day features an all-star line-up of professionals ready to share their insights on design and building a design business.

The event takes place on Thursday, November 2, 2017 and kicks-off at 1 p.m. Here is a quick-look at the line-up.

SOIRÉE Entertaining with Style
1:00– 1:45pm
Mixing a dash of glamour with a care-free, no-rules philosophy, Atlanta-based style expert Danielle Rollins sets the standard for gracious living and chic entertaining. Rollins, who has been featured in a multitude of national media, will share tips on entertaining with aplomb as well as creating artful interiors. After the talk she will be available to sign her latest book Soirée Entertaining with Style.

Diversification is Key in Growing your Business: Why Designers are Now Turning to Retail
2:00 – 2:45 pm
Discover why designers are expanding their business to include retail with the owners of three chic Connecticut design stores. Stacy Kunstel, New England Home magazine’s homes editor, will chat with Robert Passal of Putnam & Mason, Francine Gardner of Intérieurs, and Melissa Lindsay and Jill Saunders of PIMLICO  on the benefits and challenges of adding a retail component to their business mix.

Lighting Tips for Residential Interiors
3:00 – 3:45 pm
Join the legendary Bunny Williams as she shares her expertise on creating effective and pleasing lighting plans. Williams will discuss successful reflective ceiling plans, decorative sconce placement and other lighting tips to create a magical atmosphere in your home. Don’t miss this chance to learn from one of the country’s most important designers and charming public speakers.
