Tomorrow, I'll be joining interior designer Ron Norsworthy on a panel discussing decorating tablescapes at Day of Design at The Mayflower Grace in Washington, Connecticut. Ron has done his share of decoration, including doing the design for videos (Jay-Z and P. Diddy), movies, and cutting his teeth with Michael Graves. I adore his gold leaf rorshak work seen here. The paintings are gilded inkblots that are screened onto archive paper. These are perfect for adding a bit of sparkle to your room.

If your home is anything like mine in the summer, the beach towel is an ever-present accessory. I think my family’s towels spend more time draped over chairs and railings than they do on the sand or by the pool. So it’s nice if they look good (just kidding; who cares if they complement the furniture?) … and yet. Happy to replace some of our more frayed and faded towels, I went in search of some summer essentials that would be easy on the eye. Here’s what I found:

Mykonos by Jonathan Adler

Cabana Stripe from One Kings Lane

Tidal from Tide & Pool

Jaguar Hide by Maslin available from Horchow

Deck Towel’s Quinten

Niles Red by Missoni

Greta Medallion Shown in Ink Blue from Pottery Barn
