Design in Depth: Oh, What a Night

November 14, 2012

Last Thursday night, New England Home hosted the New England Design Hall of Fame at the State Room in Boston. The evening is the premier event for the design community and provides a night when we all come together to celebrate design.

This was the sixth year for the event and we inducted seven new members into the Hall of Fame: Lyman Perry, Heather Wells, Nannette Lewis, Morgan Wheelock, Kathryn Herman and James Doyle of Doyle Herman Design, and Bruce Beinfield.

Not only is there a stunning view of the old clock tower, Boston Harbor and the airport, but everyone arrives looking beautiful and in a convivial mood. I love that New England designers embrace the chance to celebrate one another.

There were beautiful flower arrangements by Winston Flowers and all the tables were candlelit.

A pretty centerpiece.

Blue and white flower arrangements were displayed throughout the venue.

It was my honor to introduce the inductees and to ask them to come to the stage to receive their award.

It is the most elegant night of the year for many of us and the highpoint of a successful career to the select few.
