New England Home's 5 Under 40 awards spotlight the hottest emerging talent in residential design in New England, including architecture, home-design products and accessories, interiors, furniture and - NEW this year - landscape design! Selected by an all-star committee of regional design leaders, 5 Under 40 winners are the people to watch, producing some of the most beautiful and innovative work available today. Winners for 2013 will be announced at a special reception on April 25, 2013, via press release, and in the May/June issue of New England Home. Profiles of the 2013 winners will also appear in a special magazine section in the September/October issue, as a prelude to the festive awards celebration on the evening of September 12, 2013. Each winner will have the opportunity to design a custom rug that will be produced by presenting sponsor Landry & Arcari Oriental Rugs and Carpeting. The custom rug auction and final sale will be at the September 12th 5 Under 40 awards and cocktail party, with proceeds going to benefit Barakat, Inc., a Cambridge, Mass.–based charity promoting educational opportunities for women and children in central and south Asia. Pre-bidding for the rugs can be done online starting in August.
