Jia Moderne is grounded in the modern sense of globalization. We believe that by including both ancient and modern Asian artifacts in our modern living and working spaces we enhance our lives both aesthetically and culturally.

Jia Moderne was born out of a love of Asia and a devotion to bringing a distinguished collection of antique furniture and relics dating to 206 B.C., fine art of emerging talent and ethnic artifacts to New England designers and architects. Owner Betsy Sweat has returned to Boston after more than 12 years of living and travel throughout Asia to share her love for the region and these cultures.

Today’s living and working spaces reflect a newly globalized perspective. These choices can be expressed by the placement of cherished heirlooms or the presence of revered objects, or even by the absence of things—through how the space itself embodies beauty and quiet.
