Cook & Cook Exquisite Custom Cabinetry is a family owned and operated custom cabinetry company located in Scarborough, Maine.

In an age where “they don’t make things like they used to,” we set ourselves apart by using centuries-old construction techniques and careful attention to detail. Under normal use, our cabinetry will last for more than a hundred years. The keys to that longevity are lumber selection, quarter sawn doors (where possible), mortise and tenon joints, miter and spline cabinet corners, sliding dovetail joinery, dovetailed drawers and superior hardware.

We don’t expect that everyone knows what all the woodworking terms mean, or even what to look for when choosing cabinets. That’s why we love to give the tour of our production process, where cabinets can be seen at every stage -from rough lumber right through to assembled cabinetry. Understanding how they’re made, and why that’s important, is a great place to start when deciding on something that will become a part of your home, and your lives, for a long time to come.
