Established in 2000, Breakwater Renovation & Design LLC provides full-service residential remodeling, from the design straight through to construction. We specialize in additions, kitchens, bathrooms and historic renovations.

Breakwater was founded on three basic principles: exceptional customer service, aesthetically pleasing design solutions, and high-quality up-to-date building methods. We pride ourselves on truly understanding our client's wants and needs, and are able to create functional restructured spaces within a specified budget. We continually research new products and attend training seminars to implement new construction methods. Over the last ten years Breakwater has completed a multitude of design and construction projects. The projects range form kitchen and bathroom renovations to completely restoring a late 1800's Georgian Colonial style Manor house.  

Lisa White, Managing Partner, founded Breakwater in 2000 with the vision of integrating timeless design with high-quality and affordable construction. Lisa prides herself on understanding clients' needs and blending functional design with aesthetically pleasing finishes.

Fred Held, Associate Partner, joined Breakwater in 2002. Fred oversees all construction projects with the goal of bringing Lisa's designs to life. He is a perfectionist by nature, and a Master Carpenter by trade. Fred always finds a way to incorporate high quality materials, skilled labor and state of the art construction methods without ever losing sight of a client's budget and expected completion date. He is the go-to guy who always get it done.
