WHAT IS THE MOST COMMON CLIENT QUESTION YOU RECEIVE? When discussing materials and styles, I’m often asked what I used in my own home.  It’s obviously a great question..

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE NEW PROJECT ELEMENT? Outdoor living areas like kitchens and grilling areas, pergolas, swimming pools and fireplaces. These are parts of a home that all family members love to use and tend to gather at.  I’m at that point in my own life where I really appreciate family time and how difficult it can be for families to do things together.  But at the end of our busy days, the one place we all end up is in our home, which can provide so much joy to family and friends.

WHAT DO YOU SEE AS THE NEWEST DEVELOPING TREND IN BUILDING? We are an integrated architecture and construction firm providing a single-source for fine architecture and skillful construction.  We are flattered that several firms in the region have adopted this model in recent years.

WHAT IS THE MOST COMMON CLIENT QUESTION YOU RECEIVE? 1: How much will it cost? 2: How quickly will it be done? 3: When will it appear in New England Home?

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE NEW PROJECT ELEMENT? It is impossible to pick just one.  We are excited by both new things and old things and by the opportunities that integrating them, or contrasting them, might bring.

WHAT WAS YOUR HARDEST RECENT DESIGN CHALLENGE? Economic conditions have created a “more for less” atmosphere.  We are proud that within this atmosphere we still provide exceptional architectural design and construction, where ideas and craft are important, as well as true value for our clients.

WHAT DO YOU SEE AS THE NEWEST DEVELOPING TREND IN BUILDING? Sustainability has become more prevalent to the point where it is now the norm. Codes are forcing the sustainability issue as well.  It is being driven more by code than by the homeowners.

WHAT IS THE MOST COMMON CLIENT QUESTION YOU RECEIVE? Everything is budget driven – even in the high-end market.  Homeowners ask if they are getting the best price followed by their interest in not wanting to sacrifice quality.

WHAT WAS YOUR HARDEST RECENT DESIGN CHALLENGE? My hardest and most favorite recent design challenge is building a house designed by an ingenious architect.  The materials and attention to detail are incredible.  We love working with talented architects and designers..
